Husky Rowing Experience: 2002 (Freshman)--Rowed five seat in the freshman eight that won a gold medal at IRAs ... member of crew that went undefeated all season ... helped lead Huskies to a gold medal at Pac-10's and the San Diego Crew Classic ... also contributed to victories at the Windermere Cup, California, Washington Sate and Oregon State duals. 2003 (Sophomore)--Opened the season in the No. 3 seat, then moved to the sixth seat for two races before settling into the No. 4 spot for the final three regattas of the season ... helped the UW varsity eight to its first Pac-10 championship since 1997 ... member of the silver medal crew at the IRA Championships ... rowed in the No. 4 seat on UW's victorious eight in the Ladies Challenge Plate competition at the prestigious Henley Regatta in England. 2004 (Junior)--Rowed in the No. 5 seat at the San Diego Classic before moving into the No. 4 seat for the rest of the season ... helped the Huskies win the California dual, the Windermere Cup and Oregon State dual varsity eight races during the regular season ... Collected a gold medal with the varsity eight at the Pac-10 Championships ... The Huskies garnered the silver medal at the 2004 IRA National Championships. Personal: Son of Mario and Gisella Lanzone ... has one younger brother, Mario (19) ... Born in Peru and lived in Lima until he was 15-years-old.
