Major at Washington: Anthropology

Husky Rowing Experience: 2002 (Freshman) --Member of the second novice boat .2003 (Sophomore)--Competed with the the third-varsity boat. 2004 (Junior) --Rowed in the No. 7 seat most of the season for the junior varsity eight crew ... The UW JV won the Oregon State dual race ... helped the Huskies to a third-place performance at the Pac-10 Championships ... was a spare at the NCAA Championships.

Personal: Daughter of Jane and James Dubbins ...mother works as a sales manager ...father works as a general contractor ...has one sister, Justine (18) who is a freshman in college.

I chose Washington because: The pre-med program is excellent and there are countless opportunities.
The best thing about Seattle is: It's close to the ocean and close to the mountains, yet it is a great city to live in.
The best thing about UW is: It is so big you can find yourself in a class of 300 students and not know a single person. There is always an opportunity to meet new people.
Favorite Class: Archaeology 205.
My best race was: Windermere Cup in 2002; In the last 500 meters, my second novice boat came from behind to beat Stanford's first novice boat.
After I graduate, I plan to: Go to Medical School.
If I could tell my incoming teammates one thing, it would be: Be sure to keep your life beyond crew balanced - it is too easy to focus all your energy on rowing.
