Husky Rowing Experience: 2005 (Junior) --Rowed all season in UW's varsity eight crew ... after rowing in the No. 6 seat in the season-opening Windermere Collegiate Classic, moved into the bow position for the remaining seven regattas ... opened the season with a 2-1 record with dual wins over Texas and Wisconsin at the Windermere Classic ... UW's top boat won duals against Washington State and Oregon State ... finished second to a powerful Czech Republic crew in the Windermere Cup ... UW's varsity eight finished fourth at the Pac-10 championships and sixth in the petite final at the NCAA championships. 2004 (Sophomore) --Rowed in the No. 2 seat most of the season for the junior varsity eight crew ... the UW jayvees won the Oregon State dual race, placed third at the Pac-10 Championships and finished sixth at the NCAA Championships. 2003 (Freshman) --Competed in UW's top novice eight crew all season ... Rowed in the No. 7 seat most of the time ... the Huskies' novice boat won the Washington State dual, the Windermere Cup and the Oregon State dual ... helped UW place third at the Pac-10 Championships. Personal: Daughter of Joan Liek and Neil Connole ... mother attended the University of Montana and owns the Park Ave. Bakery in Helena, Mont. ...father attended Carroll College and is a retired teacher ...has an older sister, Annie (24) who attended New School University and Eugene Lang School of Art in New York City ...also has a brother, Kevin (20) who attends the University of Montana. I chose Washington because: It's a great school with a lot of options.
