Parking for Husky football fans can be as competitive as the game itself! The University of Washington encourages you to join our efforts to improve traffic conditions and to protect the environment. Please consider using an alternative to driving alone to get to any campus event.

Traffic flow after Husky footballs games is restricted as shown on the map at right. This map shows football game day bus parking/direction of travel. Vehicles cannot exit parking lots near the stadium after the game until pedestrian traffic clears.

2009 Public Parking

Note: A portion of the E1 lot is available for public football parking. This lot is located north of Husky Stadium off Montlake Blvd. NE.

How to reach stack parking in E1
A stack method of parking (bumper to bumper) is used in E1. This means you will not be able to move your vehicle until the vehicle in front has moved. The remainder of E1 is restricted from public use. Motor home parking is also available in E1, but no overnight motor home parking is allowed.

To reach the E1 parking lot from I-5 southbound, take the NE 45th Street exit (exit #169). Turn left onto NE 45th Street. Continue east about 4/10 mile to 15th Avenue NE. Turn right and drive south on 15th Avenue approximately 6 blocks to NE Pacific Street. Turn left onto NE Pacific, staying in the left-hand lane. Continue east until the road splits. At that traffic-lighted intersection, turn left onto NE Pacific Place. At the next traffic light, turn left onto Montlake Boulevard and continue north approximately half a mile. When the road forks, bear right to stay on Montlake Blvd. Turn right at the first traffic light into the multi-lane north entrance to the large E1 parking lot.

Or, you may take the NE 45th Street exit (exit #169) from I-5 southbound and continue east on NE 45th Street approximately 1.4 miles to Mary Gates Memorial Drive. Turn right onto Mary Gates Memorial Drive. Go one block and turn right onto Clark Road. At the end of Clark Road you will find another entrance to the E1 lot.

Public parking is available on the University of Washington main campus and in west campus, west of 15th Avenue NE. These parking areas include:

• Padelford Garage (lots N16, 18, 20, 21) accessed from Pend Oreille Road
• N1 and N5 lots in north campus accessed from NE 45th Street and 17th Ave NE.
• N28 accessed from NE 45th Street and 15th Ave NE
• West Campus Garage and various west campus lots (W3, W4, W12, W14, W35, W41, and W44) accessed by the directional signs that say "Public Football Parking" located on the west side of campus.
• Central Plaza Garage accessed from 15th Ave NE and NE 41st Street

Tyee Parking

Special Tyee parking permits are distributed by the Intercollegiate Athletic Department (ICA) approximately two weeks prior to the opening game. Space in the Tyee assigned lot is available on a first-come, first-served basis. If your lot is full when you arrive, you will be directed to an alternate parking location. Permits must be displayed from the rearview mirror or easily viewed from the dash at ALL TIMES - failure to display your parking permit during the game may result in a citation, towing or denial of entrance into Tyee parking areas.

Please be aware that E11, E11DS/CS, E12 & E12M Tyee Permits MUST BE presented to Commuter Services staff for game day validation. Once permits have been validated, they may NOT be used for re-entry. Special Tyee parking permits cannot be replaced if lost or stolen, so please keep permit/pass in a safe place. If you have any questions, call the ICA Development Fund Office at 206-543-2234.

Tailgate Parties

Tailgate parties are prohibited in the S1 parking lot, the Triangle Garage and the Central Plaza Garage. When tailgating, use minimal amount of space and ensure that your party does not infringe on other Husky fans parking spaces.

Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, parking spaces cannot be saved for other family or friends wanting to tailgate together. Please plan ahead and make every attempt to arrive at the same time with your family or friends to ensure that you tailgate together.

Disability Parking

To request disability parking, contact the Special Events office of Commuter Services via e-mail at specevnt@u.washington.edu or call 206-616-8710 well in advance of the game day. Provide your name, address, phone number and indicate whether you need a season disability permit or a disability permit for a specific game. General questions pertaining to disability accommodations may also be sent to the same e-mail address.

For fans who need special accommodation due to extreme difficulty reaching upper level seats, elevators are available on both the North and South sides of the Stadium.

UW Faculty and Staff Parking

UW faculty and staff who currently have a parking permit are not required to pay an additional fee on a game day. However, East and South Campus permit holders must park in the lower/mid level of S1 only. Central, North and West Campus permit holders must park in the Central Parking Garage. Gate-issued U-PASS carpools are not valid for football games. Husky football carpool parking is available for three or more persons (see below).

Parking Rates

Special Event staff members and volunteers are located at all entrances to collect the parking fee. Please have your money ready; correct change is appreciated. Football parking fees include sales and city parking taxes and are as follows:

$15 vehicles with three or more persons
$25 vehicles with two or less persons
$50 motor homes and campers
$75 buses
