Huskies Pick Up 40th Win To Advance To Regional Final

SEATTLE – Washington advanced to the Seattle Regional finals following a 3-1 win over McNeese on Saturday afternoon at Husky Softball Stadium.
Ruby Meylan got the start for the Huskies and tossed her 13th complete game in her NCAA Tournament debut. Meylan had nine strikeouts with only one walk allowed.
Jadelyn Allchin kept her hot bat going with her second home run in as many games with a solo homer with one out in the second.
Madison Huskey led off the fourth with a single and advance to second on a Kelley Lynch sac bunt. Allchin hit a single through the right side for her second RBI of the day while advancing to third on an error. She was brought in on SilentRain Espinoza's ground out to make it 3-0 for the Dawgs.
McNeese plated a run in the seventh to make it a 3-1 game.
The Huskies will wait to find out their opponent following the remainder of today's games. The regional final is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday. For all the latest tournament information, visit the tournament central page.
