Red Hot Dawgs Take UNC Double-Header For Eleventh Straight Win
May 20, 2022 | Baseball
SEATTLE - Following last night's blowout of Northern Colorado, a mutual coaches decision was made to limit today's double-header games to seven innings. Though the first game was never in doubt, Bear pitching held the Huskies a bit more in check limiting them to just five runs on 13 hits and one walk. Starter Adam Bloebaum held the Bears scoreless however, earning the Dawgs a 5-0 win. Pitching concerns returned for the Bears in the second game as the Dawgs got out to a scorching start plating 10 runs in the first. Calvin Kirchoff gave the Bears little opportunity to chip away, limiting them to just two runs over five innings. The Husky offense took advantage of 11 hits and nine walks for a 16-6 victory and the Huskies' eleventh win in a row!
