Jake Lamb Named A N.L. All-Star Reserve

Former Husky Jake Lamb was named to the National League All-Star team as a reserve it was announced Sunday by Major League Baseball.
Lamb, who played for the Huskies from 2010-12, has emerged as one of the top players in baseball while manning third base for the Arizona Diamondbacks. He is hitting .288 with 18 home runs and 65 RBI, which ranks second in all of Major League Baseball.Β
It is the first time Lamb has been named to the All-Star team and he is the first former Husky to be named to the team since Tim Lincecum was an All-Star in four consecutive seasons from 2008 to 2011.Β
Baseball's Midsummer Classic will be played Tuesday, July 11 in Miami.
