OKLAHOMA CITYβ Sixth seeded Washington (49-13) fell to tenth seeded Oklahoma (58-9), 3-1, Friday night at the Women's College World Series.
The Huskies' lone run came from Ali Aguilar when she hit her 13th home run of the season in the sixth inning, giving Washington their first run of the game.
The Sooners were the first to put a run on the board in the second inning, on a squeeze bunt from Lea Wodach.
In the fifth, Oklahoma's Fale Aviu hit an RBI single through right-center to drive in Β an unearned run, plating Kelsey Arnold, who recently reached first on an error.
Oklahoma extended its lead to 3-0 in the sixth inning on a solo homer to left field from Sydney Romero.
Taran Alvelo (33-8) gave up just five hits to the Sooners, walking one.
Washington will play again on Saturday, June 3, at 4 p.m. PT against the winner of the UCLA-Texas A&M game.
