
Huskies Sign Smith For 2017-18 Season

SEATTLE – Washington men's tennis signed five-star recruit Kasper Smith out of Boulder, Colorado, set to join the Huskies in the 2018-19 season.
"I am really excited that Kasper has signed with us," Washington head coach Matt Anger said. "He has a game that will continue to grow. He is already a die-hard Husky and his enthusiasm will be contagious."
Smith currently attends Boulder High School. His tennis accolades include being named a five-star recruit and receiving a Universal Tennis Rating of 12.27. He is ranked first in both the Intermountain Section and in Colorado. Nationally, his highest ranking was No. 49 on tennisrecruiting.net.
He represented his school by winning the 5A state championship in singles. Additionally, he won the sportsmanship award from USTA Colorado. He was coached by Kendall Chitambar at the Rocky Mountain Tennis Center in Boulder.
Smith is the son of Kristi and Stratton Smith. Stratton played tennis for the University of Colorado. He has a younger sister and an older brother.
