Washington Routs Fresno State, 85-54

SEATTLE -- The No. 13 University of Washington women's basketball team recovered from a slow start, outscoring Fresno State, 66-31, over the final three quarters to collect its fifth-straight victory, 85-54, on Sunday (Dec. 4) inside Alaska Airlines Arena.
The Huskies capitalized on second half dominance, holding Fresno State to just four points in the fourth quarter, a program low since the four-quarter format was adopted last year, to secure the win over the Bulldogs.
Offensively, Washington shot 71.4 percent (10-of-14) from the floor in the final frame to outscore the visitors, 26-4, while holding the Bulldogs scoreless until 1:49 left in the quarter.
Senior Chantel Osahor recorded her eighth consecutive double-double in the win, which included a career-high 22 rebounds to go along with 13 points, including 7-of-7 from the foul line. The Phoenix, Ariz. native now has 20 career double-doubles, which ranks eighth all-time in program history.
Senior Kelsey Plum scored 30 points to lead four Huskies in double figures while also adding a team-high four assists. She was a flawless 6-of-6 from the charity stripe. The point guard has now scored 30 or more points 25 times throughout her career, which is the most in program history.
Junior Natalie Romeo poured in 18 points, going 4-of-6 from behind the arc while grabbing a season-high four rebounds. Rounding out the double-figure scoring efforts was senior Katie Collier who scored 10 to go along with five rebounds, three blocks and two steals.
Freshman Aarion McDonald, who made her Husky debut on Thursday, led Washington off the bench with six points, three steals and two assists in 20 minutes of action.
For just the third time this season, Washington trailed after the first quarter of action, 23-19. The Huskies tied it up at the 3:24 mark in the second quarter before outscoring the Bulldogs, 10-6, to take a four-point lead into halftime, 41-37.
