
No. 17 Washington Welcomes No. 25 Mizzou For Semifinals Of WNIT Tournament

SEATTLE -- After a pair of season-opening wins against Eastern Washington and Colorado State, No. 17 Washington welcomes No. 25 Missouri for the semifinals of the WNIT Preseason Tournament on Thursday (Nov. 17) at 5 p.m. PT inside Alaska Airlines Arena. The game will be streamed on GoHuskies.com with radio coverage on gohuskies.leanplayer.com.
Washington is coming off a 101-68 victory against Colorado State in the second round of the WNIT Preseason Tournament. The Huskies hit the century mark for the second consecutive game and were fueled by a combined 16 three-pointers. Seven different players contributed to the three-point barrage and as a team, Washington shot 51.6 percent (32-for-62) from the floor to CSU's 41.3 percent (26-for-63) while holding an impressive 45-21 advantage on the boards.
Washington's three seniors combined for 60 points, led by Kelsey Plum who finished with 26, including five three-pointers, eight assists and four rebounds. Chantel Osahor recorded a double-double in the win with 19 points and 11 boards while Katie Collier added 15 points and eight rebounds.
Washington is 26-of-52 from three-point range in two games, hitting at a .500 clip. The Huskies have also dominated the glass, out-rebounding their opponents, 84-56.
In the latest AP Top 25 poll, Washington remains at No. 17. Four other Pac-12 teams are also ranked: UCLA at No. 9, Stanford at No. 11, Arizona State at No. 18 and Oregon State at No. 24. The Huskies are ranked No. 15 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

The Tigers are coming off an NCAA Tournament appearance and their first NCAA Tournament victory since 2001 after taking down 7-seeded BYU in the opening round as a No. 10 seed. Mizzou returns four players from a season ago who started at least 24 games: redshirt senior Lindsey Cunningham, SEC Freshman of the Year Sophie Cunningham, senior Sierra Michaelis and sophomore Cierra Porter. The Tigers spent eight consecutive weeks in the AP Top 25 poll during the 2015-16 campaign.
Last season, Cunningham reached double figures 21 times and scored 20 points or more in a game on 10 different occasions on her way to steering the Tigers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2006.
