Download Husky Sports Schedules To Your Microsoft Outlook!
Husky Fans, if you use Microsoft Outlook, you can import various University of Washington sports schedules into your calendar in moments....then you can even sync it to your handheld device! Carry the Huskies' schedule with you and you'll always know when and where the Dawgs play. This download works with most handheld devices that are capable of synchronizing data with Microsoft Outlook.
*Schedules are tentative and could change. The download will be updated as necessary.
STEP ONE:
Download a UW Huskies sport schedule from the following list:
Football (As of July 8, 2009)
Men's Basketball (As of Oct. 15, 2009)
Women's Basketball (As of Nov. 17, 2009)
Men's Soccer (As of July 8, 2009)
Women's Soccer (As of July 8, 2009)
Volleyball (July 15, 2009)
Baseball (2010 not yet available)
Softball (2010 not yet available)
Right-click on the link above for the sport schedule you've selected
Choose Save Target As
Save the file to your computer's desktop
STEP TWO:
To get the Washington schedule onto your Handheld device, you first need to import the data into your Outlook (or other calendar application) on the computer which you sychronize to your device.
For Microsoft Outlook:
Open Microsoft Outlook
Select FILE >>> IMPORT AND EXPORT...
Select "Import from another program or file" and click Next.
Select "Comma Separated Values (Windows)" and click Next.
Find the .csv file you just downloaded and select "Do not import duplicate items" then click Next.
Select Calendar and click Next.
The next window will have a title that says 'The following actions will
be performed:' above an option to 'Import the "(filename).csv" into folder:
Calendar.'
Check that box and and click on 'Import "(filename).csv" into folder:
Calendar'
From there, click and drag needed fields from the left window into the
right window. It is fairly self-explanatory, but the basic corresponding
fields are below:
SUBJECT to Subject
START_DATE to Start Date
START_TIME to Start Time
END_TIME to End Time
DESCRIPTION to Description
LOCATION to Location
And if you'd like Outlook to place a reminder: REMINDER_ON_OFF to Reminder On/Off
Click OK
Then Click Finish
STEP THREE:
Synchronize your handheld device to your computer.
