Campaign Headlines
The Campaign for the Student Athlete is a $90 million effort to renovate or build five facilities within the University of Washington Athletic Department. The project, which began on July 1, 1995, has raised $79 million. Nearly $45 million of the total has come in the form of contributions from individual donors.
Neal and Jan Dempsey recently announced a $5 million gift to the Husky Athletic program. The money will be used to help fund the indoor facility, the Student Athlete Academic Center, and Student Athlete scholarship.
Campaign focus shifts to the Crewhouse/Academic Center, Baseball stadium, and Soccer stadium. Volunteer committees begin fundraising efforts specifically aimed at completing these three buildings.
