Tyson Brown joined the Washington staff in January of 2011, he assists with strength training and conditioning for the University of Washington Football program while overseeing the training for Baseball and Men's Crew.
Prior to his arrival at the UW Tyson served as a paid intern for the Houston Texans of the National Football League. From 2009-2010 Tyson was a graduate assistant strength coach for Baylor University assisting with Football, Track and Field, Softball and Tennis.
Tyson started his career as an intern at the University of Washington where he worked with football in the summer of 2009.
Brown is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) and United States Weightlifting (USA-W). He is also certified in the Functional Movement Screening (FMS). Tyson graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Sioux Falls where he played Linebacker on 2 NAIA National Championship teams. He also earned a Master's Degree from California University of Pennsylvania in Exercise Science.
