Nov. 5, 2012 • Visit The New Recruits Sections SEATTLE - The University of Washington department of intercollegiate athletics announced a redesign to the recruiting portal of the school's official athletic website, GoHuskies.com, today. The recruiting subsite, GoHuskies.com/recruits is divided into seven sections and built to provide an inside look at the UW student-athlete experience. "We wanted a more interactive and authentic recruiting hub that utilized the voices of our student-athletes," Daniel Hour, Manager of New Media and Recruiting Services, said. "They are our best brand ambassadors and the only individuals who truly know what being a UW student-athlete is all about." GoHuskies.com/recruits aims to showcase the experience of a Husky student-athlete by aggregating social media content including Tweets, Facebook posts and Instagram photography from current student-athletes, former student-athletes and UW coaches and staff. For user efficiency, the site is divided into seven sections: Latest News, Student-Athletes, Dawg Swag, Fast Facts, Our Coaches, Husky Social, Washington Facilities, and The Whole Package. The UW's new media team will be responsible for updating content on the site daily and every post will be linked to www.twitter.com/UWRecruits. |
