A Second Helping of the Dawg Dish

Oct. 23, 2009

Dawg Dish Episode 2: Johnny Durocher goes behind the scenes with women's cross country, men's soccer and Quincy Pondexter

It's time for a second helping of The Dawg Dish on GoHuskies.com! Hosted by former UW quarterback Johnny Durocher, The Dawg Dish goes behind the scenes to give viewers a different perspective on the lives and activities of Husky sports personalities. The show is filmed and produced by UW senior Maks Goldenshteyn under the direction of the athletic department's new media manager, Ebbie Thomas. It is available for free viewing via Dawg Channel All-Access on GoHuskies.com.

In this episode, Johnny gets baking lessons from a few members of the defending NCAA national champion women's cross country team. Check out his culinary skills while learning more about these dynamic runners.

DuRocher learns how to protect the goal box from senior men's soccer standout Rylan Hawkins. Even with lessons from one of the Pac 10's best, does DuRocher have what it takes to defend against the high speed kicks of the UW soccer team?

When ESPNU chose UW to host a Midnight Madness event, The Dawg Dish asked senior men's basketball player Quincy Pondexter to be our special correspondent. Watch what happens when we turn him loose with a Flip cam for the day!

Stay tuned for the next episode of The Dawg Dish when DuRocher visits the Gym Dawgs (gymnastics) for a lesson in aerial acrobatics, tests his skills on Lake Washington with men's crew and another special correspondent gives us an inside view on Husky life outside of competition!
