Q&A With Ashley Tuiasosopo

UW senior right fielder Ashley Tuiasosopo (Woodinville, Wash.) from the UW softball team answered a few questions for the Dawg Blawg.

Gohuskies.com: Do you have a motto/saying you live by?
Ashley: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge Him and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

GH: What is your favorite thing about Seattle/favorite thing to do in Seattle outside of campus?
Ashley: "Go to Wow Bubble Tea and play board games."

GH: What is your favorite opposing field to play on?
Ashley: "Besides the fields at the WCWS, I'd have to say ASU and UO because they have the best dugouts."

GH: If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would it be?
Ashley: "South Pacific, most likely American Samoa."

GH: If you were given 1 million dollars, how would you spend it?
Ashley: "I would first give at least 10 percent to my church, then buy my parents a house, then pay off all my bills and save the rest."

GH: If you could train with any professional athlete in any sport who would you choose?
Ashley: "My brother Matt."

GH: What do you want to do after you're finished playing softball?
Ashley: "Become a high school math teacher and coach high school girl's basketball and softball."

GH: What is your favorite moment of your softball career at UW so far?
Ashley: "Winning the 2009 National Championship."

GH: What don't people outside of your hometown know about where you grew up that you think they should know?
Ashley: "Out city motto is 'Country Living, City Style'."

GH: If you were trapped on a desert island with one teammate, who would you want to be stranded with and why?
Ashley: "Bryana (Walker) because she is an engineer major and I'm a math major so we would be able to build something to get off the island."

GH: What is one TV show you can't miss?
Ashley: "Minute to Win It."

GH: Better three-hour blockbuster, Titanic, Lord of the Rings or Avatar?
Ashley: "Tie between Lord of the Rings and Avatar."

GH: What's something surprising that most people don't know about you?
Ashley: "I love doing puzzles."
