Q&A With Quinton Beasley

Quinton Beasley is a sophomore forward from Camas, Wash. He finished the season with two goals. He sat down with www.gohuskies.com for a Q&A.

 

Gohuskies.com: What is a pet peeve of yours?

Quinton Beasley: "When people are speaking to me but look in a different direction and lack any eye contact."

 

GH: What is your pre-game superstition?

QB: "Eating anything that I haven't had before a previous game because I am unsure how it will sit in my stomach during the game."

 

GH: What is the best present you have ever received?

QB: "Macbook Pro because it has helped me in many categories such as studies and social networking."

 

GH: If you were trapped on a desert island with one teammate, who would you want to be stranded with and why?

QB: "Taylor Peay because the things that come out of his mouth are outrageously entertaining."

 

GH: What's your favorite board game?

QB: "Sorry."

 

GH: Why should others become involved in the great sport of soccer?

QB: "It helps to prepare young people the challenges of working with a team, gaining confidence in what you do, and dealing well with failure."

 

GH: If you could train with any professional athlete who would you chose and why?

QB: "I would like to train with LeBron James because even though he is one of the greatest NBA players known to date, he still works to improve the little things and improving rather than accepting his dominance."

 

GH: What is one of the most important things your parents did in your upbringing?

QB: "They taught me to be respectful to everyone around me and make others want to be in my presence."

 

GH: What don't people outside of your hometown know about where you grew up that you think they should know?

QB: "My hometown Camas, Wash., has a large paper mill in the center of downtown and our high school mascot was The Papermaker."

 

GH: What do you know now about the game of soccer that you wish you would've known when you started playing the sport?

QB: "I must always be engaged and leave outside distractions off the field when playing."

 

GH: What is one characteristic a person needs to be a champion?

QB: "One must have the confidence to know that they will be a champion as well as work as hard as possible."

 

GH: What do you want to leave as a legacy at UW?

QB: "I want to leave the legacy of a hard working student-athlete."
