Q&A With Quinn Grisham

Quinn Grisham is a freshman midfielder tom Issaquah, Wash. He sat down with www.gohuskies.com for a Q&A.

Gohuskies.com: What is a pet peeve of yours?

Quinn Grisham: "My biggest pet peeve is when I have new shoes and they get dirty right away."

GH: What is your pre-game superstition?

QG: "I don't really have any superstitions; I just do the things I need to do in order for my body to be ready to play (getting plenty of sleep, hydration, etc.)."

GH: What is the best present you have ever received?

QB: "My mom bought me a Magic Bullet blender before I came here and I use it every day."

GH: What's your favorite board game?

QG: "My favorite board game is Clue because I played it all the time when I was little."

GH: Why should others become involved in the great sport of soccer?

QG: "I think it is the best sport because the whole world plays it and the world cup is the greatest sporting event in the world. Also it is a unique sport because technique and cleverness can prevail over athletic ability."

GH: If you could train with any professional athlete who would you chose and why?

QG: "Xavi Hernandez from FC Barcelona because I think he is the best central midfielder in the world and I would love to see how he trains and learn from him."

GH: What is one of the most important things your parents did in your upbringing?

QG: "My mom is a very healthy person and she engrained good nutrition into my brain."

GH: What don't people outside of your hometown know about where you grew up that you think they should know?

QG: "Issaquah is the best..."

GH: What do you know now about the game of soccer that you wish you would've known when you started playing the sport?

QG: "I wish I would have known how much practice it takes to be great so that I would have practiced skills more when I was younger."

GH: What is one characteristic a person needs to be a champion?

QG: "Determination."

GH: What do you want to leave as a legacy at UW?

QG: "I want us to win a national championship."
