Freshman Lindsey Bos (Snohomish, Wash.) has already been outstanding in the first eight games of the season with the Husky women's soccer team. The defender has played and started all eight games and been a force in the back with seniors Kendyl Pele and Hannah Greig. She sat down with www.gohuskies.com for a Q&A.
Gohuskies.com: What is a pet peeve of yours?
Lindsey Bos: "Getting my food last when I am really hungry."
GH: What is your pre-game superstition?
LB: "I need to listen to loud pump-up music!"
GH: What is the best present you have ever received?
LB: "My car for my 16th birthday."
GH: If you were trapped on a desert island with one teammate, who would you want to be stranded with and why?
LB: "Brianna Sweeney--she is a nature woman and would help me stay alive in the wild."
GH: What's your favorite board game?
LB: "Sorry."
GH: Why should others become involved in the great sport of soccer?
LB: "Soccer is more than just a sport. Just like anything else, what someone retrieves from the sport depends on how much time and effort they put into it. Soccer has the potential to build a person mentally and physically, while at the same time create success, friendships, and memories."
GH: If you could train with any professional athlete who would you chose?
LB: "Mia Hamm."
GH: What is one of the most important things your parents did in your upbringing?
LB: "My parents have never failed to support me in every aspect of my life. Because of their constant love and support, they have set a positive example to me on what it means to be a good citizen all around, with consistent love for everyone and determination to excel in life."
GH: What don't people outside of your hometown know about where you grew up that you think they should know?
LB: "I live in Snohomish, which is known for its constant smell of cow manure and endless farmlands."
GH: What do you know now about the game of soccer that you wish you would've known when you started playing the sport?
LB: "The friendships, opportunities, positive memories and rewarding moments it gives."
GH: What is one characteristic a person needs to be a champion?
LB: "Heart/passion."
GH: What do you want to leave as a legacy at UW?
LB: "Win a national championship!"
