Fall Camp Links: Day 4
The weather in Seattle couldn't be better, and the Huskies are breaking out the pads. This means it's time to duck out of work early and make your way over to Husky Stadium at 3 p.m., where fans will be able to witness what Coach Steve Sarkisian called "real football."
Contact will be the theme of practice Friday as this is the first day the team will don pads and hit. But that doesn't mean the competition aspect of practice changes. There's position battles up and down the roster, as evidenced with this report from Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, who talks about Victor Aiyewa taking a run at a starting linebacker job. The senior has battled some injury issues in the past, which he blames on his relentless playing style. "Every chance I get, I try to play hard," Aiyewa said. "Sometimes I may play a little too hard." Another note to keep in mind is that Sunday is Picture Day at Husky Stadium. GoHuskies.com has the full details.
