Fall Camp Links: Day 2

The weather at Husky Stadium bordered on perfect as the Huskies took to the field for the second day of Fall Camp. Because of how the post-practice lifting schedule works, the "bigs" (linemen, linebackers, tight ends, etc) were the student-athletes available to the media Tuesday evening.

As the stories can attest, TE Chris Izbicki was a popular storyline. The junior from Kirkland, Wash., is practicing with the first team, and according to Coach Steve Sarkisian, has made tremendous strides as a player. Throughout winter, spring and summer, it's hard to pick out a student-athlete who worked harder in the weight room or spent more time watching film.

This was all part of Izbicki's drive to mold himself into an elite player, as he told Doug Pacey of the Tacoma News-Tribune.

"Through winter workouts I felt like I pushed myself harder than I had before. Coming into spring ball I had the same attitude. I want to take this. Do whatever I can to get better at this position so I can have a bigger role come this fall."
