Fall Camp Links: Day 16
First, a public service announcement: for fans who made it out to the early practice this morning, it marked their last chance to see the 2010 Huskies before the BYU game. From now on, Husky football practices will be open to Tyee members, reporters, parents of student-athletes and recruits.
With Fall Camp nearing to an end, the point of emphasis throughout the local media here in Seattle has been the position battles going on. Today, the majority of the writers focused on the battle for the No. 2 quarterback's job. Coach Steve Sarkisian has yet to make a formal announcement, but several outlets wrote about the strong play of Keith Price this fall. We'll start with the Everett Herald. Scott Johnson writes about the growth the Compton, Calif., native has made from Year 1 to Year 2 in the Sark system. "I was stressed last year," Price said. "I called my mom every night. I was almost always in my (dorm) room. I didn't have anybody out here. Now, it's great. I'm having fun."
