The football practice for the Huskies went off without a hitch. In fact, it was hard to script a better introduction to the 2010 season. For observers who trekked over to Husky Stadium on Monday, the product on the field promises to be a faster, more athletic version than the one
Steve Sarkisian presented to fans last year.
Year 2 is already showing a lot of promise.
There was a sizable media contingent at Husky Stadium as well. Here's a roundup of their stories.
Seattle Times beat writer Bob Condotta
conveyed the scene on Montlake by noting the speed that the student-athletes are beginning to practice. Note this quote from Chris Polk:
"It feels a lot different. A year ago today I couldn't tell you I knew
all my assignments, so I'm out here playing a lot faster than I was last
year, being that I was in here a year and know all my assignments, have
a feel for the game, know what to expect and play faster and not second
guess myself."»
