CFL Season Opens For 2010
The Canadian Football League season opened up this weekend, beginning with a pair of games on July 1, which was Canada Day.
Two of the three Huskies in the CFL have begun their 2010 seasons. Cody Pickett's Calgary Stampeders beat one his old teams, Toronto, 30-16, though Pickett, a backup QB who only joined the Stamps late in their training camp, didn't see any action. In Winnipeg's 49-29 win over Hamilton, former Dawg Joe Lobendahn was the defensive star, finishing the game with eight tackles, including two sacks. Lobendahn was also voted as a captain of the Blue Bombers. Tomorrow (Sunday, July 4), former Husky Kai Ellis and his Edmonton Eskimos face the BC Lions in both teams' regular-season opener. Edmonton edged the Lions, 36-32, on June 20 in an exhibition game. No TrackBacksTrackBack URL: http://cstv.collegesports.com/mt/mt-tb.cgi/6881 IMPORTANT LINKSMOST RECENT POSTS
