There was a big scrimmage at Husky Stadium yesterday, the final Saturday of the spring football season. Undoubtedly, a couple of long scoring runs from true freshman tailback Deontae Cooper were the main highlights of the day. That notion is reflected in the news coverage today. Here's a look:

• In the Seattle Times, Percy Allen leads with Cooper's big day in his coverage of the scrimmage.

• Todd Milles of the Tacoma News-Tribune takes a similar angle, at least to start, with thisdetailed account of Saturday's workout.

More on Cooper's day from Scott Johnson in the Everett Herald. Johnson also penned this feature on senior-to-be linebacker Mason Foster.

• CoachSark.com caught up with Daniel Te'o-Nesheim during Saturday's practice. Check out this video with the new Philadelphia Eagle.

• Finally, check out this story on gohuskies.com about Brendan Lopez and Cody Bruns, who seem to have nailed down the long snapping and holding duties for the Dawgs.

Only three more practices left this spring, including the Spring Game. Tuesday and Thursday, practice is at 4:00 p.m. The Friday Night Lights Spring Game is Friday at 6:30 p.m.
