Spring Practice No. 4 Is In the Books

The Washington football team wrapped up its fourth of 15 spring practice sessions Tuesday afternoon at Husky Stadium. It was the first full pads workout of the spring for the Dawgs.

The weather cooperated as the rain stayed away from Montlake for the entire two-hour session and the temperature was well-suited for football practice.

A crowd of a few hundred fans was on hand, a group that included three incoming freshmen who will join the squad next fall. Ben Riva and Zach Fogerson, both from O'Dea High in Seattle, watched from the sidelines, as did offensive lineman Erik Kohler, who was able to catch up with former Oaks Christian High teammate Nick Montana.

It was also a big media day for the Huskies as ESPN.com blogger Ted Miller (formerly of the Seattle P-I) was on hand. He spoke with Jake Locker and Mason Foster afterwards. Be sure to check Miller's blog for lots of Husky coverage today.

Also representing ESPN was former Husky QB Brock Huard, who taped a segment for tomorrow's edition of College Football Live and also interviewed Locker, Foster, receiver Jermaine Kearse and Coach Sark for future use on ESPN.

Next up for the team is another 4:00 p.m. session Thursday at Husky Stadium, followed by a 1:00 p.m. practice on Saturday.

As always, be sure to check out the Friday Night Lights Spring Game Central page for lots more information and coverage, including photos and video.
