Prugh on the Wrong Side of the Cutline at Verizon Tournament
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. -- Former Husky All-American Alex Prugh shot a 2-over-par 73 in the second round of the Verizon Heritage tournament at Harbour Town Golf Links and missed the cut on Friday. Prugh was +3 overall and tied for 104th.
Prugh had a nice start to his round with a couple of early birdies, but suffered a stretch with three bogeys and a double-bogey before ending his day with a birdie. He has now missed the cut in four of the last five events he has entered after starting the season by making the first six cuts.
Jim Furyk, Charles Howell III and Greg Owen are tied for the lead at 7-under 135.
