Football practice highlights big day at the UW!
At the same time, the #1 ranked UW softball team was completing back-to-back wins over No. 5 UCLA (3-1 & 7-2) and the baseball team was playing rival Washington State in the first game of a doubleheader. Several hundred fans ringed the track around the football field to watch the Huskies go through a just more than two hours practice session. The team wore helmets, shorts and shoulder pads and conducted individual and team drills. It appeared the practice was conducted a pretty high pace, which isn't unusual but a few media observers noted the quick pace during and between drills. Coach Sark, as well as several players and assistant coaches, conducted media interviews afterward. You can read a great story about the UW defense on GoHuskies.com.
