COREY DILLON AND LAWYER MILLOY NAMED TO NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 2000s ALL-DECADE TEAM

Former Washington stars earn franchise honor among best of the last decade

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots recently announced the 27 members of its 2000s All-Decade Team. Two former Washington standouts, running back Corey Dillon and safety Lawyer Milloy, were selected to the team comprised of the greatest Patriots from the franchise's most successful decade.

Players selected to the 2000s All-Decade team represent a combined 37 Pro Bowl appearances and all but four of the members earned Super Bowl Championships with the Patriots.

Dillon was originally drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals and finished his career with the Patriots in three seasons from 2004-06. He spurred the Patriots on the path to victory in Super Bowl XXXIX by registering a franchise-record 1,635 rushing yards during the 2004 season.

Milloy played in 112 games in his Patriots career from 1996-2002. He was a member of the Patriots Super Bowl championship team in 2001. Milloy, a four-time Pro-Bowler, was originally drafted by the Patriots in the second round (36th overall) in the 1996 NFL Draft.

The All-Decade Team was selected by the New England Patriots Hall of Fame Nomination Committee, a 22-person panel made up of reporters, alumni and staff.
