Sami Whitcomb named to Pac-10 All-Media Team
Putting forth the best season of her career, Sami Whitcomb was named to the all-Pac-10 team by a select group of media who regularly cover women's basketball in the conference.
Whitcomb was one of 15 players selected to the group, which ranks the very best the Pac-10 has to offer. This season, Whitcomb led her team in points, rebounds and assists, averaging 13.0, 6.0 and 2.8 respectively. During her weekly press conference, Whitcomb said she was flattered by the award, but said there were plenty of other Huskies who were quite worthy of the selection. "It's definitely an honor, but really it could go to anyone on our team," Whitcomb said. "So many people during the year were stepping up in a lot of different ways."
