After beating Missouri today, this was posted on the West Virginia University website:
"West Virginia’s 29th victory has tied a 51-year school record established by the 1959 team led by All-American Jerry West that reached the NCAA finals."
I can assure you that WVU's coaching staff WILL use this factoid as a golden opportunity to motivate their players in playing Washington tough. And (from a player's perspective) who wouldn't want to establish their team as the greatest of all time beating the legendary Jerry West's team?
