Thompson, Tina.jpgTina Thompson-Bohlinger was the latest Husky women's soccer legend honored this season as the former goalkeeper was recognized at halftime of last Friday's match against Gonzaga.

Thompson played for the Huskies from 1994-96 and still ranks as one of the top goalkeepers in Husky history. She started all 60 games she played in her career, finishing with a 1.14 goals against average and recording 17 shutouts. She led UW into the postseason in each of her three seasons, including UW's first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 1994. A 1996 All-West Region pick and two-time first team All-Pac-10 selection, she was also named to the Pac-10 All-Academic team in 1995 and was the team's defensive player of the year twice. Thompson ranks second all-time in Husky history behind Olympic gold medalist Hope Solo with her 1.14 GAA and 17 shutouts and she ranks third all time with 250 career saves, while her 96 saves in 1995 ranks second on the single-season charts.

Thompson, who played her first year of college soccer at San Diego State under Lesle Gallimore before following the current Husky head coach up to Seattle, is also an active Husky Centre Circle member and helps out in the HCC tent.
