Director Brad McDavid stopped by to let us know the Husky Band will be performing at Friday's Mount Vernon versus Burlington-Edison high school game at Roland Kirkby Field in Burlington, Wash.  The band will perform during pre-game and halftime.  The pre-game show is expected to start around 6:30 p.m.

The football field at Burlington-Edison High School is named after former University of Washington running back Roland Kirkby - a three-year letterwinner (1948, '49 & '50) and an honorable mention All-America selection in 1950.  He set a school record as a senior with three touchdown catches against Kansas State and shared the UW backfield with All-Americans Hugh McElhenny and Don Heinrich.
