While in Southern California for their weekend games against UC-Irvine and Cal-State Fullerton, the Washington women's soccer team took some time during their day off Saturday to watch the U.S. National Team's training session.

FIFA's No. 1 ranked team in the world as of Monday, the U.S. women's team boasts former Husky All-American Hope Solo, who is widely regarded as the top goalkeeper in the world. Both Washington head coach Lesle Gallimore and associate head coach Amy Griffin - who coached Solo at UW - have spent time coaching with the U.S. National Team in the past. Griffin, who also played on the U.S. National Team when they won the 1991 World Cup, currently is the goalkeeper coach for the U.S. U-17 National Team.
