UW Lineup Set For PING/Golfweek Invitational

Husky head coach Matt Thurmond has set the lineup for the PING/Golfweek Invitational being held this weekend at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton.

There are no surprises in that the three returning All-Americans -- Nick Taylor, Darren Wallace and Richard Lee -- are among the three in the lineup. Perhaps more surprising is that freshmen Chris Williams and Charlie Hughes are playing this weekend, despite the No. 3 ranked Huskies returning its top six players from last season.

The ascension of the freshmen into the mix attests to the strength of the Huskies this season. It will be interesting to see Thurmond juggle his 12-man roster, as he has said the group is his most talented collection of Huskies ever in his regime.
