Mackenzie Tied For Ninth After First Round of Canadian Open

Calgary, Alb. -- Husky alumni Paige Mackenzie (pictured) is tied for ninth at 3-under 68 after the first round of the LPGA's Canadian Open at the Priddis Greens Golf and Country Club. Mackenzie is one of three former Dawgs competing this weekend north of the border in Calgary, Alberta.

Mackenzie had five birdies on her second nine of the day (six overall) to put her in contention. She will tee off at 1:40 pm local time from the No. 1 tee on Friday.

Louis Frieberg shot a 3-over 74 and is tied for 99th, while Amber Prange shot a +4 and tied for 113th. Prange is making her LPGA debut.
