Huskies Competing In 54-Hole Intrasquad Marathon Today

ROSLYN, Wash. - The Husky men's golf team is competing in a 54-hole intrasquad tournament today at Suncadia on the Tumble Creek course. The tournament, affectionately dubbed the Steve Lane Invitational, has become an annual team-bonding competition.

Husky assistant coach Garrett Clegg has been phoning in updates throughout the day.

5:20 pm

They are now through 45 holes and Taylor is even par, Williams 1-over and Hughes and Iverson right behing at 5-over. Lee is next at 6-over, followed by Bracht at 7-over. Killmer and Wallace are each 15-over and Chambers is 20-over. If you notice, behind Taylor are the three freshmen on the team.

4:00 pm

Through 36 holes Taylor leads the pack at even par overall. Williams is second at 2-over followed by Hughes and Bracht at 5-over. Lee and Iverson are each 6-over, with Wallace at 12-over, Killmer at 13-over and Chambers at 15-over. Hang in there guys...only 18 more to go!

2:33 pm

In the latest report, Nick Taylor is leading the way at even par overall, followed by Williams and Hughes at 1-over, Bracht at 2-over, Iverson at 5-over, Chambers and Lee at 6-over, Wallace 9-over and Killmer rounding out the scores at 11-over.

12:30 pm

After the first 18 holes, freshman Charlie Hughes led with a 2-under 69. Senior Nick Taylor and sophomore Jens Bracht were tied for second after shooting even-par 70.

Freshman Chris Williams and senior Richard Lee were tied for fifth at 2-over 73, followed by Chris Killmer at 4-over 75, Ty Chambers and Darren Wallace at 6-over 77, Larry Iverson at 7-over 78.
