Going To The Big Game? With another big crowd expected at Husky Stadium tomorrow for Washington's big Pac-10 opener against third-ranked USC, we thought it might be a good idea to provide a reminder of a few informational items and web links that might help ensure a great Game Day experience. For the second-straight week The Zone will open at 9 a.m. and will feature food, music, beverages, interactive games and contests and will serve as the site of the official KJR pre-game show with the Husky Honks. The 2009 NCAA national champion UW softball team will be recognized in a special ring ceremony in The Zone at 11:30 a.m. All-America pitcher Danielle Lawrie and head coach Heather Tarr will be guests on KJR at approximately 10 a.m. The team is scheduled to arrive at Husky Stadium at approximately 10:40 a.m. and will conduct its popular Husky Walk through The Zone upon arrival. Former UW tight end Mark Bruener will be honored as the Husky Legend between the third and fourth quarters of the game. He will also appear on the pre-game radio show and will most likely be hanging out in the Big "W" Club tent in The Zone before the game. There are still tickets available by calling (206) 543-2200, visiting the online box office at GoHuskies.com or on a walk-up basis on gameday at Husky Stadium. The stadium parking lots will open at 6 a.m. for early risers looking to get a head start on tailgating or just hanging out before the game. There are a variety of options to get to the game, including Bus, Car, Boat and Bicycle. If you can't make the game, there are numerous ways to follow along live: The game will be televised regionally to 52 percent of the country by ABC, broadcast on the radio through the Washington ISP Sports Network, streamed through the Internet by Dawg Channel All-Access on GoHuskies.com and broadcast on satellite radio by XM / Sirius. There will also be a live statistical Gametracker and a Game Day Dawg Blawg on GoHuskies.com as well as updates via Twitter.com/UWSportsNews.
