Former Dawgs In the NFL: Comings and Goings

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

In case you missed it, there was some roster movement among former Washington players and their NFL teams over the weekend.

The biggest news was probably that Lawyer Milloy, a 13-year NFL veteran, signed with the Seattle Seahawks. Milloy, who was already living in the area, didn't attend training camp with any team, but the four-time Pro Bowler from Tacoma now gets a chance to play for his hometown team. Here's a story from today's Seattle Times.

Milloy was joined on the 'Hawks' roster by another former Husky DB, Roy Lewis, who was added to Seattle's practice squad. The Associated Press' Gregg Bell has this story.

Further afield, former UW quarterback and Garfield High product Isaiah Stanback was cut by the Cowboys, but was quickly placed on the Patriots' practice squad. Here's a story from the Dallas side of things.

Included in this story is a note that two former Dawgs, Greyson Gunheim and Marcel Reece, were named to the Oakland Raiders' practice squad.
