Wallace, Taylor Underway At Canadian Amateur Championships

Huskies Darren Wallace and Nick Taylor got underway on Tuesday in the first round of the 2009 Canadian Men's Amateur Championships held at Club de golf Le Blainvillier in Blainville, Quebec.

Wallace is tied for third after shooting a 4-under 68, while Taylor is shot an even par 72 and is tied for 29th.

In the Willingdon Cup, the team competition portion of the Championship, Taylor's Team British Columbia is second at 3-under. The team is comprised of Taylor and three other competitors who hail from British Columbia. They trail Team Ontario by seven strokes.

Second round action takes place this afternoon.
