Former Husky Jeannine Jensen Honored at Women's Soccer Match

Jensen, Jeannine_DSC_3954mf.jpgAt halftime of last night's season-opening 2-1 victory over Seattle, the UW women's soccer team honored former player Jeannine Jensen as both the alumnus and supporter of the match. She was on the very first Husky women's soccer team in 1991 and has been a Husky Centre Circle member since its inception in 1996. Jensen now manages an e-commerce team at ATT and just completed her fifth Ironman triathlon.

Jensen was a defender for the Huskies from 1991-93, playing in 54 games in that span, all of which she started in. She scored two goals and tallied three assists. Jensen recalls watching Ronda Klein score the Huskies' first-ever goal as a program against San Diego State in Lesle Gallimore's first game as head coach of the Aztecs as one of her favorite Husky memories.

Jensen was presented with an official Husky Centre Circle scarf, which the team will present to an alumnus or supporter of the program at each game.
