Fall Practice Looms; Press Coverage Heats Up

Not surprisingly, there was plenty of press coverage of the start of Husky football fall camp as, yesterday, Coach Steve Sarkisian met with the media to preview the coming weeks. Sark was joined by his entire assistant coaching staff, and that led to a whole slew of stories in the local media.

First, here are a couple right here on gohuskies.com: this AP story from writer Tim Booth and this recap from our own Jeremy Cothran.

In the Seattle Times, beat writer Bob Condotta details Sarkisian's optimism in this story while columnist Jerry Brewer chimes in with his take.

In the Tacoma News-Tribune, new beat writer Todd Milles also talks about Sarkisian's enthusiasum in his story.

Lastly, in the roundup of the local press, another new UW beat writer, Scott Johnson of the Everett Herald, turned in two pieces: one general piece on the start of the fall and this more specific story on local product Justin Glenn, a RS-freshman cornerback from Kamiak.

Remember, fall camp starts with a 3:00 p.m. practice Monday at Husky Stadium. Check out this link here at gohuskies.com for a complete fall camp practice schedule, fan policies and parking info.
