New Husky Assistant Coach Hits The Court

New Washington assistant basketball coach Raphael Chillious hit the court this week, helping Lorenzo Romar with player development sessions in Bank of America Arena.  NCAA rules allow coaches to spend time with a limited number of players on the court at one time - essentially to limit "team practices" but still provide the opportunity for coaches to help develop players' skills and conditioning.

Chillious took over for Cameron Dollar, who accepted the head coaching job at nearby Seattle University in early April.  He comes to the UW after serving as a highly-successful prep coach and, most recently, was Nike's business manager for Elite Youth Basketball.  Chillious coached current Huskies Isaiah Thomas and Matthew Bryan-Amaning at South Kent (Conn.) School.
