Dawgs Off And Running At NCAA Golf

NCAA_Golf_052809 002.jpgSitting in fifth-place overall after the first two rounds, the Washington men's golf team has started its final round at the NCAA Championships.  The weather forecast for today calls for a pretty constant rain, but no lightning or other severities that would delay the round (fingers crossed).

The Huskies went off on hole #10, along with playing partners Arizona State and Arkansas.  Those two schools should provide some familiarity as, obviously, the Sun Devils are fellow Pac-10 competitors and the UW has played with Arkansas in each of the first two rounds.

In case you were wondering, the NCAA pairs teams together based on team placing after the first two rounds.  Places 1-3 (Oklahoma State, Georgia and Texas A&M) went off on hole #1 at 10 a.m., while places 4-6 (UW, ASU, Arkansas) went off hole #10 at the same time.  Places 7-9 will tee-off after the final players goes off on No. 1 and so on...

Don't forget, coverage is provided throughout the day on GoHuskies.com.
