Seeing is Believing with New Husky Stadium Video and Audio Systems
The big, new video board on the east end isn’t the only audio or visual gem inside renovated Husky Stadium.
There are eight other video boards plus approximately 700 flat-screen televisions in the remodeled concourses and new suite areas, that help make the fan’s in-stadium experience among the best in the football – college or pro.
The east end zone also has a 2.4-foot-high, 180-foot-wide Daktronics video display across the terrace level and a screen at field level. At 3.7 feet high and 169 feet wide, this smaller board also affords Husky fans their familiar, picturesque views of Lake Washington.
A 270-degree ring around the new club level covers the remainder of the stadium on the façade of the main stands. That ribbon board, 2.4 feet high and 1,430 feet wide, wraps from the east end zone around the west stands below the new football operations center to the opposite side of the east end zone.
Renovated Husky Stadium has two, two-foot-high, 400-plus-foot-wide ribbon boards – one on the façade of the south upper deck and one on the opposite façade at the bottom of the north deck.
The new stadium also has two, box-shaped video boards flanking the football operations center, beyond the northwest and southwest corners of the field. Those are 18 feet high and 31 feet wide.
The old video marquee outside the stadium facing Montlake Boulevard is now an 8.4-foot-by-25-foot screen attached to the football operations center and still facing west. It displays messages to passersby on all events inside Husky Athletics.
