SEATTLE - Husky pitcher Austin Voth will go from the Washington Huskies to the Washington Nationals as the junior righty was taken in the fifth round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft today.

The Nationals chose Voth with the final pick of the fifth round, 166th overall.

Voth, from Kent, Wash., was the Huskies' top starting pitcher in 2013, posting a 7-6 record and a 2.99 ERA over 105.1 innings in 15 starts. His 98 strikeouts were second in the Pac-12 at the end of the regular season and ranked seventh in UW single-season history while his 105.1 innings were sixth-most at Washington.

Undrafted out of Kentwood High, which he led to the 2010 4A state championship, Voth has been a regular in the UW rotation in each of his three seasons. Assuming his college career has come to an end, he will have finished with a 16-12 career record and a 3.94 ERA over 242 innings.

Voth helped his draft profile the last two summers, pitching in the Cape Cod League. He pitched in the league's all-star game following his freshman season and was third in the league in strikeouts in 2012.

The 40-round MLB Draft will wrap up tomorrow with rounds 11 through 40.
