SERIES HISTORY:
 • UW vs. Santa Clara:  Washington leads the series 10-7 all-time and has won the last five games between the two squads. The last time the teams met was in 2006 when the Huskies swept a three-game series, highlighted by a 9-0 combined no-hitter by current Major Leaguers Tim Lincecum (SF Giants) and Nick Hagadone (Indians) on March 12, 2006. The Broncos last win over UW was 5-2 on Feb. 20, 2005 in the first of a three-games series in Santa Clara.

UW vs. Santa Jose State: San Jose State leads the series 8-2 and has won seven straight over the Huskies. In fact, the last time UW beat the Spartans was way back in 1969 when the Huskies opened the season with a pair of wins. But, to be fair, the last time the two teams met was March 22, 1990, when the Spartans won 8-4.

  • UW vs. Pacific: UW leads the series 9-2. UW won 4-3 on March 6, 2011 that last time the teams met. Pacific won 7-2 on May 20, 2006 in the meeting prior to that.

QUICK PITCHES . . .
• UW pitchers were 3-0, 1.44 ERA vs. UC Davis. They allowed 18 H, 4 ER, 20 K, 6 BB in 25.0 innings. They entered last week with a 6.00 ERA.

• The Huskies lead the Pac-12 with 7 home runs thru the first 11 games; they hit 10 in 56 games last season.

• Washington debuts brand new 2,400-seat Husky Ballpark on March 21.

• UW was selected by Pac-12 coaches to finish 10th out of 11 teams in the pre-season poll, despite finishing .500 and tying for 6th last season.
