SEATTLE - Washington’s four incoming freshman still won’t be on campus for a few months, but already the group has earned some recognition, as the Husky recruiting class was ranked fifth in the country by PrepVolleyball.com, the top volleyball recruiting site online.

The highly-touted group of Huskies includes outside hitters Courtney Schwan (Milton, Wash.) and Tia Scambray (Dana Point, Calif.), middle blocker Crissy Jones (Los Alamitos, Calif.), and defensive specialist Reni Meyer-Whalley (Los Angeles, Calif.) The three hitters were all ranked in the top-20 of the Senior Aces list on the same PrepVolleyball site, while Meyer-Whalley has also earned All-American and All-CIF honors in her career.

Penn State was given top billing in the class rankings, followed by USC, Purdue, Florida, and the Huskies.
