WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – The University of Washington women’s tennis team was well represented on the Pac-12 All-Academic Teams as they boasted five selections. The Huskies landed one student-athlete on both the first and second teams while three earned honorable mention honors.
Junior Natali Coronel was one of eight first-team selections as she owns a 3.86 grade-point average and is majoring in Psychology, marking her second-straight year on the first team. Senior Andjela Nemcevic picked up her first academic conference honor as she earned a spot on the second team with a 3.60 in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology.
In addition, juniors Riko Shimizu and Julija Lukac along with sophomore Grace Ysidora earned honorable mention accolades.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point and be a significant contributor.
